Tactile Wayfinding Solutions
When visibility is limited around a single corner, a mirror designed for broader overhead coverage can be more than the space needs. Quarter Dome Mirrors are made for focused corner visibility, providing a 90-degree view at two-way “L” intersections where pedestrians, drivers, carts or equipment operators need to see approaching movement before turning. They mount snugly into a corner, making them a practical choice for corridor bends, warehouse aisle corners, parking garage turns, service routes, storage areas and other locations where the blind spot is concentrated at one corner rather than across a full intersection.
Quarter dome mirrors are most useful when the mounting location and viewing direction are clearly defined. Because the mirror is positioned in a corner, it helps connect two intersecting paths without adding unnecessary coverage to areas that do not need to be monitored. This makes the product especially helpful for facilities trying to improve visibility in tight layouts, reduce uncertainty at sharp turns, and support safer movement through compact or high-traffic areas. Available in multiple sizes, quarter dome mirrors can be selected based on the viewing distance, ceiling height, width of the approach and the type of traffic using the space.
A quarter dome mirror provides a focused 90-degree view and is designed to mount snugly in a corner for two-way visibility at an “L” intersection. A half dome mirror provides approximately 180-degree visibility and is usually mounted along a wall where a wider field of view is needed. The simplest way to choose is by the layout: use a quarter dome mirror for one corner or one turn, and use a half dome mirror when visibility is needed across a broader wall-side area.
Both options are available. Quarter dome mirrors can be purchased for self-installation, with installation instructions included, or Safety Media can provide supply-and-install service if you prefer our team to mount the mirror for you. Professional installation may be helpful when the mirror is being installed at height, in a busy parking garage or warehouse, or as part of a larger visibility and safety improvement project.
