WHMIS boxes are required when you have hazardous materials in the building to supply information to firefighters. These boxes are weather-resistant, include highly visible reflective lettering and graphics, including key tags, mounting screws/wall anchors, and either (2) padlocks or (2) keys depending on the locking system required. NOTE: Boxes being installed in the City of Toronto require Padlocks (AA38PLL) and boxes being installed in the Region of Peel require Keys for Peel Region (AA38L). Check with your local Fire Department for locking system requirements.
