The Rb-84A is the ground-mounted version of the Reserved Bicycle Lane Sign. It includes a bicycle symbol, reserved-lane diamond symbol and a diagonal arrow pointing toward the designated bicycle lane. This sign is typically used where the bicycle lane is adjacent to the curb and where ground-mounted signage can provide sufficient visibility.

Designed according to Ontario Traffic Manual Book 5 specifications, the Rb-84A sign is available in the standard 600 mm x 600 mm size, with a 900 mm x 900 mm oversize option for locations where additional visibility or emphasis is needed. The sign features a white reflective diamond symbol, black diamond background, black legend and black border on a white reflective background. It is manufactured with minimum Type III or Type IV reflective sheeting, supporting strong visibility for municipal roadways, active transportation corridors and bicycle lane projects.

Reserved bicycle lane signs are used where a municipal by-law or regulation designates a lane for exclusive bicycle use. They are commonly installed at the beginning of the facility with a BEGINS tab, immediately downstream of intersections, throughout the length of the facility, and at the end of the facility with an ENDS tab, based on the approved roadway layout.
