Safety Media's Key-to-Padlock Retrofit Kit is a practical and cost-saving solution for converting your existing Safety Media keyed box to a padlock system. This kit helps you avoid the cost of replacing the entire box while maintaining secure access to safety documents. The retrofit kit includes:

• 2 padlocks
• 1 instruction sheet
• 1 rubber square with tape
• 1 'L' angle bracket
• 2 angle bracket screws
• 1 white weather guard.

Installation Instructions for the Key-to-Padlock Retrofit Kit:

• 1. Remove any existing key lock from the box.
• 2. Attach the ‘L’ angle bracket by screwing it to the bottom bracket on the inside of the box using the provided screws.
• 3. Apply the rubber square to the inside of the box using the adhesive strips.
• For added durability and weather resistance, apply contact cement or silicone to the taped side of the rubber before adhering. Wait for the glue to dry completely before proceeding to the next step.
• 4. Close the box and press gently on the rubber until you see a slight indent of the bracket through the rubber. Using a sharp utility knife, make a small slice in the rubber just large enough to fit the bracket through.
• 5. Place the white weather guard over the rubber square.
• 6. Secure one padlock on the box and store the second padlock inside the box.
