Product Description
Safety Media’s Reflective Town of Oakville Fire Route No Parking Sign — By-law No. 1981-66 is used to identify designated fire routes in the Town of Oakville where parking is prohibited and emergency access must remain clear.
The sign displays the no-parking symbol, large FIRE ROUTE wording, the Town of Oakville By-law No. 1981-66 reference and directional arrows to help identify where the fire route restriction applies. Its vertical layout is built for strong visibility along driveways, private roadways, access routes and building perimeter areas where emergency access must remain unobstructed.
This Fire Route sign is suitable for commercial, industrial, institutional, multi-residential and managed properties in Oakville where fire route signage must follow the Town’s approved design requirements. For enforcement purposes, fire routes must be properly approved, incorporated into the by-law and inspected according to the Town’s fire route process.

At each limit of the fire route, two signs should be installed, one on each side of the route. Double-headed arrows indicate that the restriction applies in both directions.
The bottom of the sign should be mounted 2.2 metres above the pavement, with an allowed height range from 1.9 metres to 3 metres. Signs should be positioned no more than 30 cm back from the curb. Where there is no curb, no part of the sign should be closer than 3 metres or farther than 4 metres from the edge of the pavement. Need installation support?
